Dakota Contractors transformed a historic industrial building at 214 Chattahoochee Row into Dr. Scofflaw's at The Works, a 12,700-square-foot Atlanta brewery featuring 76 taps of hand-crafted beer, an expansive outdoor patio, and direct access to the surrounding greenspace of The Works development.

Adaptive Reuse Construction Built to Preserve Character

Partner with Dakota

Dakota Contractors managed the full adaptive reuse buildout of Dr. Scofflaw's at The Works, transforming a historic industrial building into a 12,700-square-foot brewery and taproom without losing the character that made the original structure worth saving. The scope included structural modifications to support brewery operations, a 76-tap bar system, a full commercial kitchen, an expansive outdoor patio, and integrated access to the surrounding outdoor spaces at The Works. Adaptive reuse projects demand a contractor who can balance preservation with performance, and this project reflects the kind of problem-solving we bring to every historic renovation we take on.
